Bellaire Lofts is an income based rental property similar to other affordable housing establishments. All those interested in living at Bellaire Lofts must fill out an application and be within the program income limits in order to qualify. The application fee of $40 covers identity verification, income verification, credit history, criminal history, past rental history and more.
RENT RATES
The following tables are used to estimate your rent rate based on your annual household income. All household members (over 18yrs) earning income count for the # of people within a household. All rent rates are unique to each qualified household’s annual income.
STEP 1
Define your income bracket
Refer to the MSHDA Area Median Income (AMI) Brackets table to find your income level. Look up your household size and annual income to determine your AMI bracket. For example, a single person earning $39,060 per year qualifies for exactly 60% AMI pricing.
STEP 2
Estimate the rent rate for your income bracket and floor plan
Pair your income bracket (60%, 80%, 100% AMI) with your desired floor plan to estimate your rent rate. For example, at 60% AMI the cost for a studio apartment is $847/mo with an estimated $129 added in utilities totaling $976/mo. Estimated utility cost is calculated with MSHDA's utility allowance table.
